Site inspection to Hawaii Program 

 

This report has been prepared by the directors of Destination Partners in advance of the group's arrival, during a site inspection to the program during the month of March 2025.

Hawaii offers a unique backdrop for a faculty-led program focused on economics, farming, and business. Its diverse agricultural landscape, vibrant tourism industry, and rich cultural heritage create numerous opportunities for engaging and impactful learning experiences, overall all the trip met its goals and we were satisfiyed with what we experienced.

Honolulu (HNL) – O’ahu Island

 

Aircraft: Hawaiian Airlines –

 

Hawaiian Airlines is generally well-regarded for its service and offerings, particularly for flights between the Hawaiian Islands and to the mainland U.S. Here are some key points to consider:

 

1. Service Quality: Hawaiian Airlines is noted for its friendly and accommodating staff.

 

2. Flight Experience: Hawaiian Airlines typically offers a pleasant in-flight experience with complimentary meals and snacks on many routes.

 

3. Fleet: Hawaiian Airlines has a relatively modern fleet, primarily consisting of Airbus A321neo for inter-island and North American routes, and Airbus A330 for international flights. These aircraft are equipped with modern amenities, including in-seat entertainment and Wi-Fi on selected routes.

 We can summarize about the Courtyard Marriott Waikiki Beach based on our site visit:

 

1. Location: hotel’s prime location in Waikiki, which offers easy access to the beach, shopping, dining, and local attractions. Many appreciate being within walking distance to the vibrant Waikiki area.

 

2. Comfortable Rooms:  The rooms and beds are cozy and the rooms are outdated with their decoration but well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The bathrooms are small, than an avarage bathroom. 

 

3. Friendly Staff: The staff at Courtyard Marriott Waikiki Beach generally receives positive remarks for their helpfulness and friendliness. Guests often feel welcomed and appreciated during their stay.

 

4. Amenities: Commonly highlighted amenities include the beautiful outdoor pool, fitness center, and on-site dining option. Breakfast box available at a private room at the hotel.
